Volunteer Opportunities Volunteer opportunities with the Western Maryland RC&D are designed to be as beneficial to the volunteer as the benefits delivered to the project by the volunteer. Western Maryland RC&D starts working with a volunteer by understanding his/her talents, special areas of interests and then matches those areas with existing and future projects. Examples of volunteer activities include: - Assisting in the production of Project Fact Sheets and Project Media Material; - Project site visits for the purpose of taking photos and collecting water, soil and other samples; - Assisting in representing the Western Maryland RC&D at public events;
