Carroll Creek Wildlife Park - Frederick County

Carroll Creek Wildlife Park is an area along Carroll Creek in the City of Frederick.  A Riparian Forest Buffer Planting Plan was written and restoration work was completed.  Old pastures were planted with a mixture of hardwoods, shrubs and conifers.  Several stream channels were engineered with rock and natural materials in order to restore stream hydraulics which were impacted when the land was deforested and cattle were brought in to graze.
